Task 2 | Content Generation

Fig 1.1 Final Draft

Following with the references and ideas of how i want my illustrations to be and how i want to portray it, i want a simple not complicated design and illustration so i choose to go with minimalist design for my book which has also gave me the idea of combining silhouette also with it.

These are some examples of ideas that we shared in class to show sir how we would like our vision to come true within those picture's above while my story is related to me and my mother as she was a single mother raising me.

Above are the progress of designing my illustration it was not easy for me creating what i want it to be but am happy with the final result that i created and while designing the illustration tires in my eyes while flash backs of when i started understanding things and seeing my mother becoming a mother and also a father figure to me that back then taking care of me was like a second job for my mother as she had to leave me in day care to go to work to provide for us a plate of food for me to go to school with as sometimes she doesn't eat just for me to eat.

Reflection

Experience:
Task 2 was a deeply enriching experience. The process of crafting a book story centered around a single mother and her daughter allowed me to delve into my emotion's storytelling. Creating a draft was the initial step, which demanded not only creativity but also a structured approach to developing the narrative. Leaning to place contents and visuals within layouts was both challenging and rewarding, requiring a balance between text and imagery to enhance the story impact.

Observation:
Throughout the task, i observed the importance of cohesion between the written content and the visual elements. Each illustration needed to resonate with the story message, ensuring that visuals did not just complement but also enriched the narrative. I noticed that the placement of visuals could significantly observed the necessity of maintaining a consistent style in both writing and illustration to create a final product.

Findings:
One the main findings of this task is the realization of how powerful visual storytelling can make a big difference within the writing content. I also discovered that the layout design plays a crucial role in storytelling, as it can either enhance the readers engagement. Through experimentation, I found that certain visual elements for example the color, composition can also evoke the emotions that aligned to the story's theme.
