LECTURE

Week 3:

Week 4:

Task 2:

For this week task we were put into groups of 2 for the Taylor's Coffee Cup Design, we start first thing the task was given in class with miss V by creating a mood board to find reference and to put our ideas and sketches even at that time we have different ideas that was a bit difficult to choose one.

Our mood board and ideas we put all in Miro which the app was new to me because I have never used it before that my teammate introduced it to me was a bit complicated at first but then got the hang of it.

After the brainstorming of both ideas to concluded with each other to choose an idea what we want the coffee to be. We both have different opinions and concept that was a bit difficult.

Even we were still exploring and finding other ideas that we can make the cup better, then in class as we explain to miss V she didn't really like our idea that we have chosen, was a bit disappointed but then she gave us an idea what can make us different from the other but doing a pattern geometric style completely different form our other classmates.

Reflection

Feedback

Week 5:
- Do not make the design to complicated
- Explore many patterns that is related to the geometric 3D
- Create a more like luxury classy cup rather than a fun childlike design for a coffee cup
- Do not create mascots or make one that matches the theme and concept.

Week 4:
- Create as many sketches as possible for the finalization before week 5 to choose a design for the cup.

Experience:

By designing this coffee cup as a pair have not one but two different perspectives of design which made us understand the strength and creative thinking, as we had our own different opinions and unique style of designing that made a challenge putting two ideas into one concept as each of us have our own preference. However, finding as we push each other to finish we developed our strength, that we stayed our common ground while respecting each other's decision and vision.

Observation:

From this paring up working on a design was interesting seeing two designs become into one, as the idea of the cup was to create a simple cohesive pattern, that balance with the functionality and simplicity of the cup as the geometric 3D design balance all over the cup that we made for the culinary students. This experience creates an importance for our group and made us learned how to make as many input in a design that a clear understanding.
